Sylvia Little was born to the union of Barron Little and Gloria Donner on October 14, 1990. Sylvia was a bright, vibrant soul whose warmth and spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Sylvia spent her early years in Riverdale, Illinois, where she excelled as an honor roll student in elementary school. She later attended Percy L. Julian High School in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated in 2008. Her drive and dedication followed her into adulthood, as she pursued a career focused on service to others.
For six years, Sylvia worked at CVS, where she was beloved by her coworkers and customers on the north side of Chicago. She then transitioned to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), where she worked as a clerk, before beginning her role as a Laborer with the City of Chicago’s Department of Streets and Sanitation.
Although Sylvia didn’t have a single hobby, she had a remarkable gift: the ability to make everyone around her smile. Her joyful presence and infectious laughter could brighten any room, and she took genuine joy in lifting the spirits of others.
Sylvia shared a close bond with her younger brother, Alvin. In a heartfelt tribute to their bond, Alvin named his only child, Amiyra Sylvie, after Sylvia, a gesture that reflects how deeply she is loved and admired by those closest to her.
Her work ethic, kind heart, and radiant spirit leave a lasting impression on all who knew her. Sylvia’s memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
Sylvia is reunited in heaven with her grandmother, Dourtha Donner, and her aunt, Christine Donner. She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved mother, Gloria Donner-Crawford (Lee); her loving brother, Alvin (Anna); her beautiful niece, Amiyra Stevens; her amazing aunt, Jeanette Seaton (Louis); her favorite uncles, Kenneth and Roger; her great-aunts and great-uncles; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
