Ronald A Redditte, the only child, was born to Marguerite and William Redditte (who preceded in death) March 31,1956, Chicago IL. Ronald graduated from Burke Elementary School and South Shore High School. His favorite subject was Art and had dreams and aspirations of being a Cartoon Artist. He also enjoyed watching WWE Smackdown, going to the Drive-Ins, Chicago Bulls, Cartoons and spending time with his grandkids.

He accepted Christ at an early age, with his spiritual quote being “Won’t He Do It”. During his early childhood, he would spend the summers playing with his favorite cousins, Kenneth, Marion, Crystal, Sandra, Byron and Charlene in the Morgan Park area. He looked forward to attending the annual Roots Picnic and spending quality time with everyone. He was affectionately called ‘Ronnie’ by his family.

He had a loved for music, listening to the sounds of Mo-town was apart of his daily routine. On any given day you would find him sitting on the couch in his blue robe, remote in hand, and cold drink. This was truly the life of a retired unit 163-Records Inquiry, Senior Data Entry Operator from the Chicago Police Department where he served 30 years.

He met and married the love of his life Marie on August 3,1985. To this union he was blessed with three daughters, Kizzy, Marlena and Darlena. Ron truly cherished 40 years with his devoted wife. Ron was a provider and a protector.  He made sure his wife didn’t need or want for anything. He cherished quality time spent with his family, just hanging out, laughing, eating and cracking jokes. Our annual trips to Wisconsin Dells were something he looked forward to. Ron was a true family man, never made a fuss and lived life as he wanted.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Marie Redditte. His daughter’s Kizzy Brown, Marlena (Andre) Samuel, and Darlena James.
