Patricia McThay, affectionately known as “Patsy” was born on May 9, 1952. She was the third child of Wesley Sr. and Annette McThay, they both proceeded her in death along with her siblings, Elaine Wilson, Helen Storey, Wesley Jr., Joseph, Darren, Wanda Kelley.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Nazareth Baptist Church. She later joined Salem Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor James T. Meeks. Patsy attended Forrestville High School. She held varies jobs positionsthroughout her life but her most important job was helping and raising her family.
Patsy was best known for the love she showed her family and friends. She loved hosting gatherings, and her doors were always open for everyone. She never turned anybody away. Some of her favorite foods were Chinese and frog legs. She made the best homemade BBQ sauce that the family always bragged about. Most of all, she enjoyed playing Bid-whist.
Patsy leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Jacqueline (Dustin) Gray, Terrance Elane Jr., Michelle McThay, Brotson(Sherisha) McThay and Titianna Watts, one sister Bonnie(German) Edwards, sister in-law Vivian McThay, two brother in-laws Alfonzo Wilson and David Kelley Sr., twelve grandchildren, Eboni Elane, Terrance Elane Jr. Maurice Weathington, Ivori Elane, DeAndre Elane, Dawson McThay, Ashley Elane, Donovin Gray, Zoey McThay, Ariel Gray, Leilani McThay, Kristian Elane, six great grandchildren, Harmoni Elane, Machi Roberts, Skylar Weathington, Journee Thompson,Zlah Elane, Judah Elane, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thanks and appreciation to Johnathan Fearn her home care giver.
