Pastor White Obituary

Loma Jean White departed her earthly journey on March 7, 2025, at the home of her daughter, Cynthia (Vincent) Taylor. She was born on July 2, 1940, in Greenwood, Mississippi, to Mary and Willie G. McCullough, both of whom preceded her in death.

Loma Jean confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Avery Baptist Church in Greenwood. In her youth, Loma and her family made the brave decision to migrate north to Chicago, where she attended James R. Doolittle Elementary School and Wendell Phillips High School on Chicago's South Side.

In the 1950s, Loma Jean joined Greater White Stone M.B. Church under the leadership of B.T.

Blumenberg. In the early 1970s, she moved her membership to Mt. Tabor M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Roosevelt White, where she continued her spiritual journey. It was in 1978 that she answered the divine call to ministry, becoming a pastor and preaching the gospel

Loma Jean was blessed to pastor two churches: Universal Baptist Church M.B. and Naomi Memorial Missionary Baptist Church M.B., which she co-founded with God's guidance in

1986. Naomi Memorial became a place of transformation for many, where souls were touched and healed through the power of God. Her unwavering faith and commitment to her congregation made her a spiritual mother to countless individuals.

Loma Jean was united in marriage to Robert Lee White, with whom she built a loving family.

Together, they raised seven daughters: Diane, Renee, Darlene, Cynthia (Vincent), Cathy, Demetrius, and Necole (Macario). Loma's legacy of love, strength, and nurturing was carried through the hearts of her children and will live on in them. In addition, Loma adopted and raised her grandchildren, Michell and Willie, embracing them with the same love and devotion she gave her daughters. Her heart was open and full of love, and she cherished her family deeply. She was also a devoted foster mother, offering love and guidance to many.

Loma Jean is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee White; her daughters:

Diane, Darlene, and Cathy; and her parents: Mary and Willie G. McCullough. She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving daughters: Renee, Cynthia (Vincent), Demetris, Necole (Macario), Michell, and Willie; a special son, Anthony Anderson; twelve grandchildren:

Ronnie, Michell, Alvergia, Willie, Tarhesha, Robert, Dianna, Shamekia, Justinne, Veronica, and Pastor Steven Johnson (a special grandson). Loma also leaves behind her Goddaughter, Ruth Jones; her Godson, Roosevelt Bradley Jr.; her brother Martin Gayden and sister Vaniecy Gayden, both of Greenwood, Mississippi; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, Godchildren, family, and friends.
