Michael (Mike D./ Big Mike) Anthony Davis, 62 was born toThomas and Ida Davis in the heart of the Ghetto in Chicago, IL in Englewood. He went to Bass Elementary after moving forward to Chicago Vocational Highschool in his adolescentyears. He furthered his education and graduated with a degree in the technology industry from Morrison Institute of Technology.
Michael went on to marry Yolanda Davis on June 26, 2004. Together they moved to Madison Wisconsin where they built a foundation of life.
Michael loved to work with his hands and would always challenge himself to handy-man jobs. He always believed with a little glue and duct tape he could fix anything lol. He started a career in machinery after college and his career spanned over 40 years of his life. He ended his career at Dane Manufacturing company as a Metal Fabrication Trainer where he spent over 7 years sharing his knowledge while regaling his fellow co-workers with his many jokes and good energy.
Michael will forever be remembered for his all-aroundknowledge of subjects and his charismatic attitude towards others. Some of his past times included spending time with his family and friends, fishing, and taking his boat out for a cruise on the lake.
Michael always thought that he’d have enough time to always be with his loved ones, but God had another agenda in mind. At 6:47 pm on November 3rd, he was called home to take his position in Heaven. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Davis. He is survived by his Wife and Mother, Yolandaand Ida Davis, Daughter, Candace Hilliard (Grandchildren: Janiya, Makayla, Syncere and Raegen Hilliard), Stepson, Jeremy Taylor (Grandchildren Aubrey and Jeremiah Taylor), Brother, Timothy Davis (Kellye Davis), nieces and a nephew, Special cousin (Lena) and special friends, Valerie, Greg, Larry, Scott, Rick and George, a slew of other family and friends including the Dane Manufacturing Company.
