Mary Sistris Wilson, known to everyone who loved her as “Lil Mary,” was born on January 25, 1994, in Chicago, Illinois, to Debbie Thompson and Nathan Wilson. On October 31, 2025, at just 31 years old, our Mary gained her wings — leaving behind a light that will never fade.
Born and raised in Chicago’s Cook County, Mary made her mark everywhere she went. She started her education at brownell elementary , attended Paul Robeson high school , obtained her C.N.A in 2012 while in highschool and later earned her GED from Kennedy-King College. Over the years, she earned her credentials in security and early childhood development Always striving for more, she began nursing classes at ATS, following her heart for helping people. While continuing working hard as a Certified Nurse Aide — caring for others the same way she cared for her own family and friends.
Mary was one of a kind — creative, outspoken, funny, and strong. She had a gift with words, loved writing poetry and rapping, she loved playing spades and hated losing.she could make anyone laugh, even on their worst day. She was also an artist at heart, with a love for drawing, technology, and designing. And when it came to having fun, Mary was always ready to party, dance, and bring the energy wherever she went.
What everyone will remember most about Mary is her spirit. She was blunt and bold — never afraid to stand on her own and face whatever life threw her way. She believed in herself, even when others doubted. She thought she was the funniest person alive — and honestly, she just might’ve been.
Mary leaves behind her pride and joy, her beautiful daughter Michaela Davis , who was truly the apple of her eye. She also leaves her loving mother, Debbie Thompson; her sisters Asenath, Yvette (greg)Danielle (Tara), and Dominque; her nieces and nephews Precious,Raymond,Adleer,Paradyce and Amir 8 great nieces and nephews her God brother kevin and her “fc’s” Quanisha, Lorri, and Diamonde. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Sharon,Marilyn , Tanya,Rosalind (Darius shaw), Cynthia , Marvin, Kelvin, Saundra . a very special person Jarquise,her best friends Aaron ,China , Shelina and her cousins and 57th family along with countless others who were blessed to know her. Mary lived her life her way — loud, proud, and full of love. She made people laugh, inspired others to be real, and showed what it means to never back down. Her memory will live on in every joke, every laugh, every story told about “Lil Mary” — because she was truly unforgettable
