Lovie Dixon Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep love, we celebrate the life of Lovie Mae Dixon, who gained her heavenly wings  October 14, 2025. Lovie was born November 1, 1971, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, to Lynndale Dixon Sr. and Barbara Gause-Dixon, who precedes her in death.Lovie was the third of four children. She was raised in the Ickes, Robert Taylor Homes, and Englewood communities of Chicago,  where she made lifelong memories and friendships.

She attended St. Elizabeth Grammar School, and later Cathedral High School and Dusable High School. Lovie furthered her education and built a rewarding career in health care Where she got her CNA License From Dawson Technical Institute,  her compassion and dedication touched many lives. 

Lovie was a proud mother of four children — Antionette, Jasmine , Jeremiah, and Tabithah — and she cherished her 8 grandsons  & 8 granddaughters grandchild Jamari Parrish E’mani  Tyquan,Jamyah,E’yonna,Dontrell,Ja’myra,E’niyah,Tony,Terrance,E’jaeyiah,Zavieon,E’veah Eumari ,Eliza Her family was her greatest joy and accomplishment. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Trotter On August 2 2007, who also precedes her in death.

Lovie leaves to cherish her memory:  Three sisters Kiawanis ,Phyllis and Shacanda Two brothers Lynndale Dixon Jr., and Levi Dixon (Kimberly) god daughter Shaina ,son in law Maurice along with a host of nieces, nephews , uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.Lovie was proud of all her achievements, but her greatest pride came from her children. She was also a faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star (O.E.S.), where she shared her faith and fellowship with others. Lovie always had a open hand and heart to everyone Lovie with a family person? She cooked every holiday for her family spending time with them how far is priority she was dedicated to whatever she did and when she spoke, she spoke to truth, no matter how you wanted to hear it lovie was a gracious woman, to her family, and friends.Lovie’s kind heart, radiant smile, and loving spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
